Explore our breeds and their care needs
Dorper sheep
A meat breed valued for adaptability, maternal ability and an easy-care, shedding coat. Our selection priorities include sound structure, growth and suitability for local grazing conditions.
Boer goats
A meat goat breed valued for growth, fertility and mothering ability. Our selection priorities include functional structure and suitability for local browsing and management conditions.
Poultry · Orpingtons, Brahmas & guinea fowl
Our poultry includes Orpingtons, Brahmas and guinea fowl, with a focus on health, breed character and suitability for your flock.
Orpingtons
Large, soft-feathered heritage chickens, valued for their calm temperament and dual-purpose qualities for eggs and meat. Hens lay brown eggs and often go broody, making them a good choice for keepers interested in natural hatching and mothering. Their gentle nature means introductions to more assertive breeds need care. Ask us about the varieties we keep, current photos, ages and whether hatching eggs, chicks or adult birds are available. Egg production and growth vary with breeding line and management. Enquire about Orpingtons
Brahmas
Large, generally docile chickens with distinctive feathered legs. They need generous space and dry, clean bedding to keep their foot feathers in good condition.
Guinea fowl
African poultry with distinctive spotted plumage, active foraging habits and loud alarm calls. Domestic guinea fowl descend from the helmeted species and are described by colour variety rather than chicken-style breeds. They forage for insects, seeds and plant material and are valued for meat and eggs. They suit keepers who can manage their ranging habits, flock behaviour and noise. Secure night housing helps protect them from predators; a consistent feeding routine can encourage them to return. Ask us about the species and colour varieties we keep, current photos, ages, sex where confirmed, and availability of hatching eggs, keets (young guinea fowl) or adult birds. Enquire about guinea fowl
German Shepherds
Intelligent, versatile dogs for active homes and suitable working roles. Consistent training, socialisation and daily physical and mental activity matter.
Border Collies
Active, intelligent herding dogs that need purposeful training and mental stimulation. A good fit depends on your time, experience and intended role.
Anatolian Shepherds
Independent livestock guardian dogs, suited to experienced keepers. Secure boundaries, early socialisation and careful introductions to livestock are essential.

Our breeding direction

Select for purpose. Build for the next generation.

Our aim is to develop animals that suit the people, farms and environments they will live in. We look at the whole animal, rather than choosing on appearance alone.

Function and suitability

Sound structure, temperament and traits that fit the animal’s intended breeding or working role.

Balanced selection

For livestock, our priorities include fertility, growth, maternal ability and adaptation to local conditions. Sound feet, legs and mouths matter alongside body shape and breed character.

Responsible care

Good nutrition, welfare and careful husbandry support our breeding goals and the development of young animals. Breed potential depends on genetics, feeding, animal health and management; growth and reproductive results vary between animals and farms.

Enquire about animals.

Looking for breeding stock or a future litter? Tell us the species, your location and your breeding or working goals. We will confirm current availability and suitability before discussing a visit or reservation.

Ask about availability
Before you choose

Ask about the animal behind the photograph.

Tell us what you want to breed, keep or work with. We can discuss suitability and share the information available for each animal before you reserve.

What to ask before choosing an animal

Ask us for current photos or video, age, sex, intended use and the information available for the individual animal. For sheep and goats, ask about recent weight and the date measured, parentage, previous lambing or kidding history, and the feeding system they are accustomed to. For poultry and guinea fowl, ask about variety, age, sex where confirmed, and whether eggs, chicks, keets or adult birds are currently available. For dogs, ask about temperament, socialisation, training and relevant health-screening results, including hip and elbow assessments where appropriate. Herding, livestock guarding and protection work require different preparation; suitability is assessed for each dog.

Confirm parentage, health and vaccination history, and any pedigree or registration documents before reserving. Where records are available, we can discuss them with you. Registration and performance information must be confirmed for each animal.

Veterinary & Healthcare Solutions

Better patient care starts with a practice that works well. We help veterinary teams review everyday challenges, identify practical improvements and source suitable equipment. We also work with manufacturers on distribution opportunities across Southern Africa and beyond.

01 / Practice support

Practice Reviews & Team Support

Busy days, unclear handovers or recurring stock shortages? We listen to your team and review how work moves through your practice, then agree practical priorities that fit your resources.

  • Everyday operations: appointment flow, task allocation, stock control and equipment use.
  • Team communication: clearer roles, handovers, induction and shared ways of working.
  • Client experience: communication from the first enquiry through to discharge and follow-up.

02 / Equipment

Veterinary & Healthcare Equipment

Equipping a veterinary practice or healthcare facility, or upgrading a service? Tell us what your team needs to do. We can explore suitable veterinary and healthcare equipment, including diagnostic, monitoring, surgical and clinical essentials, then help compare specifications, supplier options, availability and costs. For each enquiry, we will clarify delivery, warranty, training and servicing arrangements where relevant. Options and support depend on the product, supplier and location.

03 / Partnerships

Distribution Partnerships

Vetreality distributes selected animal-care products and welcomes conversations with manufacturers seeking a distribution partner. We are open to partnerships with companies that serve veterinary, animal health and related markets, including companies with both veterinary and human healthcare divisions. Each opportunity is assessed according to the products, market and requirements involved.

How our practice reviews work
Your practice review

Understand the challenge. Agree the next steps.

  1. Talk about your priorities

Tell us about your practice, location and the issue you want to address. We agree the scope, format and fees before work begins.

  2. Review how things work

We listen to the people doing the work and review relevant routines and information. Any visit or remote review is arranged to suit the agreed scope.

  3. Set a practical action plan

We outline priority recommendations, proposed responsibilities and ways to track progress. Implementation and follow-up support are agreed separately where needed.

Start with one challenge: smoother handovers, fewer stock shortages or clearer client updates. We tailor the review to your team, facilities and budget.
